		<description>Sarah, I was careful when I chose my language.  It is not a requirement that the board organize days of service, it is a suggestion that they adopt the days, and invite members of the community who want to help them facilitate it.  

A volunteer day of service is a volunteer action.  The board of education can set the tone by putting their stamp of approval on it.  If they would like to take an active role they can, as volunteers.  

My goal with the third policy recommendation is to create an environment where our children can be connected to the larger community and serve with their hands, under the guidance of caring adults volunteers and to serve people who are different from them.  

I&#039;d be happy to send you another copy of the packet that has my exact text.  

Otherwise, I think you did a good job of covering this story and the other two policy recommendations I submitted.
